Artist Statement
Being influenced by time and place, her most recent works weave coastal atmosphere reflecting the pulse of growth, change, and quiet endurance. Her semi-abstract works come to life through intuition and reflection with an emphasis placed on colour, emotion, rhythm and movement where the dream-like interpretations of organic forms, echo the cyclical pulse of life and the importance of sustainability.
Andree expresses herself through a range of art disciplines including various facets of printmaking and painting using both acrylic and oils. Her style is inspired by abstract expressionism where she enjoys the physical application of media and mark making onto a range of surfaces incorporating a fusion of methods and materials into her work.
